Couldn’t Resist a Mock Up

Sometimes I make a lot of extra work for myself, just to indulge a subtle customization. In this case, I’ve made minor tweaks to the classic Stratocaster style by rounding the heel and adjusting the lower horn. That, in turn, means that I need to make my own pickguards. Since I’m doing that, I might as well move the volume knob a bit further from the bridge pickup. Went with a single ply pickguard to keep it clean (three ply with white was too busy). Couldn’t resist a little mock-up before spraying clear coat and polishing.
